The Institute for Open Economic Networks (I-Open) in partnership with the Nance College of Business Administration, Cleveland State University, invites you to participate in “Building Innovation Zones for a Second Curve Economy”, a forum and workshop for regional leaders.

Innovation Zones are one of five transformative initiatives being developed by CuyahogaNext Blue Ribbon Task Force Action Plan 2006, supported by the Cuyahoga Department of Development and the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners. Other initiatives include North Coast Clusters, New Start Partners, and Invest in Children. More information is available on the Cuyahoga Board of County Commissioners web site here.

Download the early draft of a Strategic Handbook for Cuyahoga Innovation Zones prepared by Ed Morrison with the County Innovation Zone Initiative Design Team here.

Ed Morrison, Director, I-Open, will provide updates about new approaches to open source economic development in Indiana, Kentucky, and Oklahoma City.

In Midtown, entrepreneurs have begun to build collaborations and move forward on new initiatives. In this program, entrepreneurs will share their stories about challenges, new business opportunities and product development.
